Asem, Pat Thomas & Kobi Rana Sing For Late President Atta Mills

Hip Life Musician Asem

Following the death of President Atta Mills, hip life musician Asem and high life top gun Pat Thomas have come together to release a song to celebrate the man who was described as king of peace.
The song is titled ‘Dear John’ and it was not only to celebrate the late president’s life and good deeds but also encourage his family.

“It’s more of a cheer song rather than a dirge,” Asem described the song over the weekend.
He said his decision to collaborate with Pat Thomas was to help the song break generational barriers.
After the president’s untimely death, it was expected that the creative industry will pay tribute to him. That has been happening via different platforms.

It has become something more of a competition as to who produces the best song for the late president.
Talented musician/actor/director/dancer Kobi Rana of Rana fame has also released a song titled ‘24th July’ to celebrate the late president.
Indications are that more songs will be released soon. The question now is which one will attract more attention for officials to use it for the president’s funeral.
