Bishop Daniel Obinim explains sex with pastor’s Wife

Bishop Daniel Obinim, the founder and leader of God’s Way International Ministry, has explained why he had sex with the wife of one of his junior pastors in a tape recording which is currently in circulation nationwide.

The Kumasi-based bishop has confessed having sexual relations with one Gifty Fobi, the wife of Pastor Williams Fobi, one of his junior pastors and leading Bible readers of his church.

Further details on the tape indicate that Bishop Obinim said he had sex with Gifty because she was sexually more appealing.

He has told Happy Fm in an interview that the devil tricked him to have sex with his junior pastor’s wife and immediately after that indecent act, he confessed to his wife and they both prayed together for God’s forgiveness.

The two lovebirds had been in a relationship for the past four years, according to Gifty’s husband, Pastor Williams Fobi. The embittered junior pastor stated on a tape that his wife had confessed to him that Bishop Obinim started to have sexual engagement with her about four years ago when she joined his congregation.

Pastor Fobi said when he met the wife and proposed to marry her three years ago, he didn’t know that the woman of his heart was having an intimate relationship with his boss until she confessed to him on Thursday May 26, 2011, leading to the mediation by high-profile pastors.

The 33-year-old bishop explained why he had sex with Gifty, in a tape recording, which was made during the mediation meeting with a popular bishop in Accra and a leading figure of the Ghana Pentecostal Council.

After the revelation of Bishop Obinim’s adulterous expedition, Gifty’s husband got furious and threatened mayhem, a development which attracted the attention of the two Accra-based renowned men of God to preside over the case and settle it amicably.

At the said meeting, details of which were captured on the tape available to DAILY GUIDE, Bishop Obinim chillingly said he had sex with Gifty because she was sexually appealing.

He revealed that he slept with Gifty for the reason that his wife Florence Obinim, a gospel star, failed to give him the erotic happiness he required anytime they had sexual intercourse.

The bishop, who is widely noted for his “halleluyah” chanting, said when he started sleeping with Gifty, it became difficult for him to have sexual relations with his wife because he derived extreme happiness from his junior pastor’s wife.

Bishop Obinim indicated that he realized that Pastor Williams was incapable of taking good care of Gifty, hence his decision to take her away from him.

According to him, Gifty once told him that she liked him because her husband did not dress well but he (Obinim) was well-dressed and always appeared neat and decent.

These undeserving remarks angered the high-profile men of God, Pastor Asare and Pastor Antwi, who furiously rebuked Bishop Obinim for pouring out such remarks, a development which equally infuriated Bishop Obinim.

The two mediators were heard on the tape shouting at Bishop Obinim to shut up and stop passing such comments but the unrepentant bishop retorted and said none of the two pastors could argue that they had not sinned before.

These hot exchanges irritated Pastor Antwi, who angrily left the meeting attended by Pastor Williams, leaving only Pastor Asare at the mediation table.

After Pastor Antwi had left, Pastor Asare, who happened to be the God-father of Bishop Obinim, was heard urging the Kumasi-based bishop to compensate Pastor Williams for having sex with his wife.

When the suggestion was made, Bishop Obinim got angry and walked out, telling Pastor Williams to take the matter to wherever he wanted, stressing that the issue could not ruin his church.
