Dr. Abu Sakara: Volta Region will not be any political party’s World Bank

The 2012 Presidential candidate for the Convention People’s party, Dr. Abu Sakara has declared that the Volta Region “will no more be a world bank for any political party in this year’s election.”

Dr. Sakara made the observation after he ended his first phase of the ‘National whistle stops campaign’ in the region.

The Volta Region is widely believed to be the world Bank of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) but according the CPP’s flagbearer, this trend and believe will be a thing of the past in this year’s elections.

A press statement signed by the CCP Presidential candidate, Dr. Sakara stated that “the CPP does not believe in mounting big rallies and putting up huge billboards saying those things does not win elections. But his strategy is “to meet the people one on one and in smaller groups is making their message well understood by the electorates.”

The first phase of the ‘National whistle stops campaign’ took place within a period of five days where he toured several communities and villages including, Ho, Kpetoe, Jiasikan, Boem, Nkwanta North and South, Kejebi, Kpasa and Mafi Kumasi.

“Dr Sakara emphasized “his vision of establishing Opportunity Industrialization Centers, OIC’s, throughout the Country to allow BECE failures the chance continue their education in order realize their potentials in future.

He has also been touching on the three pillars in the CPP’s thus, Social Transformation, Economic Emancipation and Equity,” the statement said.
