A 29-year-old Ghanaian has been sentenced two years and one day in the United States for entering that country with fraudulent papers.
US authorities say the Ghanaian, Ashalley Kotey, used a fraudulent passport to enter the US and eventually made his way to North Dakota, according to an Associated Press report May 25, 2012.
He was also accused of possessing counterfeit immigration documents and of gaining employment in Dickinson by using the identity of another person, the AP report said.
Kotey has been sentenced jailed after he pleaded guilty to identity theft and immigration offences.
