Kwesi Appiah: Black Stars door is still open to Kevin Prince Boateng

AC Milan Midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says he will be delighted if Kevin Prince Boateng rescinds his decision on his international retirement insisting the Black Stars door is still open to the AC Milan star.
The ex-Germany U20 international quit the Black Stars last year citing problems with his health.
Boateng, who made his global name while playing for the Black Stars at the 2008 World Cup, said frequent travels to Africa to play for his father’s country was having a toll on his fitness.
But some suspect that he fell out with previous coach Goran Stevanovic which led to Boateng’s decision to quit.
Despite the confusion over his reasons to quit the Black Stars, the Black Stars coach says he will make an efforts to convince Boateng to make a Ghana return.
“We will always try to use the best players available,” Kwesi Appiah said.
“But like I said, the decision will rest with Kevin and if chooses to rescind his decision to make a return, we will be happy.”
Boateng is currently nursing a groin injury with AC Milan.
