There are indications that Black Stars midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari will stay at Inter Milan and fight for a place come next season

The Ghana international who played for Sunderland on loan last season, according to reports, believes the presence of new coach Gian Piero Gasperini gives him the chance to showcase his talent at the 2010 European and Italian champions.

He recently told British media that he still has a future at Inter Milan and is therefore not considering a move to Turkey or Russia.

He was frustrated by the coach in charge at the time, Spaniard Rafael Benitez, forcing him to move to North London to feature for Sunderland.

Though he had been linked to several clubs in the past including Sevilla of Spain, Galatasaraay of Turkey and Italian club Napoli, Muntari joined his colleagues at training on the first day of pre season training ending speculations of joining a new club.

Media reports had noted that Muntari joined the rest of the Inter side except those playing in the Copa America championship over the weekend and began some light training on his own.

The report indicated that Inter fans at the Stadio Pineta applauded him several times for his work rate and tackles.

It is believed that coach Gasperini who joined Inter from Genoa last month, will give Muntari a chance to prove his worth at Inter, who lost the Italian and European Champions League title to AC Milan and FC Barcelona.

Muntari has a contract with Inter till 2013.
