US-Ghana bilateral trade slows down in 2012

Total bilateral trade between the United States and Ghana slowed to $856,144,000 in the first half-year of 2012 compared to the $985,321,000 recorded during the same period in 2011, according to latest figures released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
During the 2012 first half-year (January-June), the volume of trade exports from the US to Ghana amounted to $698,078,000.

Ghana, on the other hand, exported a trade volume value of $158,066,000 to the US.
The trade balance between the two countries during the 2012 half-year totalled 540,012,000 against $255,541,000 recorded in 2011 of the same period, ITC numbers showed.
Some goods traded between the US and Ghana are oil, cocoa, wood, rubber, vegetables etc.
