Alfred Agbesi Woyome ScandalThe Commercial Division of an Accra High Court has adjourned the criminal case against embattled businessman Alfred Woyome and three others to March 26, adding that the State is not ready to prosecute the case.

State prosecutors in court today pleaded for more time to study and finalise the docket because the case is still under investigations.

This is the latest on the issue which engulfed the entire country a few weeks ago, leading to the resignation of Education Minister Betty Mould-Iddrisu and the dismissal of Attorney General Martin Amidu.

Mr. Amidu on Wednesday, February 29 released a press statement questioning the credibility and interest of the State prosecutors leading the case.

According to Mr. Amidu, Ghana has a good case against Mr. Woyome, but could lose if the State prosecutors do not put the nation’s interest first.
